Maxence Rigottier, Olivier Roland, Margaux Klein and many others clearly proclaim their healthy lifestyle.

We see more and more successful entrepreneurs posing with a glass of smoothie in hand. A few decades ago, it was the Gauloise that was de rigueur, now it would be the raspberry.

Why is it so important to eat healthy when you are an entrepreneur?
Do you find it hard to believe that eating more fruit and fewer chocolate bars will boost your productivity and therefore your turnover?

So go and have a look at one of the biggest (if not the biggest) American companies in Silicon Valley, namely Google.

When Google bets on the well-being of its engineers
If we had to talk about a successful company, we could only talk about it. With a turnover of 182.5 billion dollars in 2020 , Google is therefore the first company in the world. Enough to turn a few heads.

Since its creation in 1998, the company has implemented a whole series of strategies to increase its productivity and therefore its turnover. One of its strategies, which may surprise more than one, is to focus on the well-being of its engineers .

Green spaces landscaped outside, games and sports

rooms, organization of activities for the engineers’ children, they have thought of everything. And of course, healthy food is on the agenda. A starred chef prepares quality dishes for them every day, with very little cooking and almost no industrial products.

If companies like Google, and there are others, promote the well-being of their employees to this extent, it is not only to please them. But to increase their productivity .

What happens in our body when we eat healthy?

Personally, I have seen a marked improvement in my productivity and ability to focus on work.

Indeed, the healthier we eat, the less our body will be weighed down and polluted by a diet full of pesticides, food additives and other GMOs. And these products that 90% of the world’s population consume daily have a devastating impact on our general health.

It has now been proven that the longer it takes to digest a food, the more our ability to concentrate is reduced . Because yes, digestion requires a lot of energy. So the more we eat foods that are difficult to digest (over-processed products, bread, pasta, pizza, sandwiches, etc.), the more energy our body will use for digestion and will no longer have enough for the rest of our activities.

When you digest, the body sends a very large quantity of blood to the stomach. But all this blood that irrigates the stomach during digestion does not therefore optimally irrigate the rest of your body and in particular the brain.

After a meal consisting of heavy foods, your mind seems foggy, your ideas are not clear, you have trouble concentrating and this is quite normal. It is not for nothing that we feel an irresistible urge to sleep after a copious meal.

In addition, a “conventional” diet rich in food additives and other chemical colorings has an undeniable negative impact on your brain function. Your brain is the information processing center of your body, therefore your most valuable work tool .

If you damage it, you’re putting your career in jeopardy . So you might as well put all the chances on your side to preserve this precious partner.

Changing your diet: a real challenge for entrepreneurs

There is nothing more difficult than changing a habit that has been part of our daily lives for decades. And the least we can say is that food is one of these daily habits.

When for years you’ve been eating cereal for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch and a ready meal in the evening and suddenly you’re told it’s bad for your health, you don’t want to believe it .

your body. And you discover that work-wise, you are much less productive at certain times of the day, you have trouble really concentrating on your projects.

What’s stopping you from changing your diet isn’t necessarily willpower.

What prevents you from changing your diet are the psychological barriers that have shaped us throughout our childhood and adolescence.

Breaking down your barriers takes a lot of effort and perseverance.

Just like entrepreneurship requires a lot of effort and perseverance.

What you also need to keep in mind is that changing your diet is not a fad. It is a real long-term investment that will allow you to increase your productivity.

Changing your diet is like starting a business .

At the beginning, it’s difficult, we experience a lot of failures, then we bounce back, we persevere, we want to put in place the best and invest for the long term.

Having the courage and perseverance to change your diet is like giving your best to invest in your health.

Entrepreneurship, just like dietary change, are challenges to be taken up, challenges to be won in the hope of achieving the much-anticipated success: professional success and top-level health.

Implement these 9 actions to improve your productivity through nutrition
Now that you’ve become aware of the impact of healthy eating on your productivity and ability to

concentrate, you feel lost once again. But where should I start? What to do? On which shelf?

Step 6: Eat more raw foods that you process yourself.

Step 7: Move back your breakfast time: Working on an empty stomach yields amazing productivity results.

Step 8: Prefer steaming or raw cooking over frying and high-temperature cooking

Step 9: Eat light at lunch if you need to be productive in the afternoon

These 9 steps to apply on a daily basis will allow you to have a clearer mind , greater concentration and energy to spare to invest in your professional projects.

Of course, these 9 steps are not going to happen by themselves. You have to act, the ball is in your court it is a daily effort to be accomplished with regularity and rigor .
